International applicants are defined as commercial real estate agents, managers, senior marketing representatives, and consultants who operate in an industrial and/or office real estate capacity in areas outside the United States, Canada, and Mexico. International applicants may apply for one of the following the categories: Advisory Specialist, Executive Specialist, Industrial Specialist, Sales Manager Specialist, Office Specialist, or Dual Specialist Industrial & Office).
Overall Requirements:
Experience: Active engagement in the acquisition, disposition, and/or marketing of industrial and/or office real estate.
Volume: Have a credible record of experience in industrial and/or office real estate brokerage, sales, leasing, transaction management, or marketing for a period of five years.
Education: Applicants are not required to fulfill the educational prerequisite.
Ethics Education: Fulfill SIOR's ethics education requirement prior to receiving the designation. Applicants will be provided with a link to the course upon submitting their application.
Recommendations: Have two SIORs submit a Qualification Report & Recommendation Forma letter from the senior executive of the applicant’s firm in lieu of one recommendation if the applicant is not known to two SIORs). Specialty: Acknowledgement of review and recommendation from the Admissions Committee’s International Vice Chair whose responsibility it will be to discuss each applicant with the sponsors) to determine which Active category Advisory, Dual, Industrial, Office, or Sales Manager) best fits the applicant’s experience.
