Washington, D.C. – May 2, 2023 - The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR), the world’s premier commercial real estate organization for industrial and office brokers, recently elected its 2023-2024 officers during its annual spring world conference, Spring 2023 Event, which was held in Montreal. The elected officers will be installed this fall, prior to SIOR’s 2023 Fall Event being held in Chicago October 11-14, 2023.
SIOR represents today's most knowledgeable, experienced, and trusted commercial real estate brokerage specialists, and these individuals are proven experts in their market and leaders in the industry.
SIOR's current president-elect, David Lockwood, SIOR, will assume office as SIOR Global President. Lockwood is executive vice president and COO of Colliers International in Columbia, S.C. and has been an SIOR office specialist since 1990.
SIOR's current vice president, Mike Ohmes, SIOR, will assume office as SIOR President-Elect. Ohmes is the Managing Principal of the Minneapolis-St. Paul office of Cushman & Wakefield in Minneapolis, M.N, and has been an SIOR office specialist since 2001.
Saadia Sheikh, SIOR, an office specialist in New York, has been elected as SIOR's Vice-President. After serving a one-year term as vice president, Sheikh will serve as president-elect for one year, and then step into the presidency of SIOR in the fall of 2025. Sheikh is the youngest female SIOR to ever serve as vice president.
The following members were elected to serve two-year terms on SIOR’s Board of Directors as members-at-large:
- Amy Broadhurst, SIOR, an industrial specialist, Mechanicsburg, P.A.
- Bruce Hecht, SIOR, office specialist, Dallas, T.X.
- Daniel Smolensky, SIOR, industrial specialist, Chicago, I.L.
In addition, J.R. Steinbauer Jr., SIOR, will be serving a two-year term as Speaker of the Chapter Leadership Council and James (Tripp) P. Guin III, SIOR, will be serving a two-year term as Speaker-Elect.
The following SIOR members were also elected to serve as Regional Directors for a two-year term:
- Central Regional Director: Ryan Zabrowski, SIOR, industrial specialist, Omaha, N.E.
- Mid-Atlantic Regional Director: Michael Connor, SIOR, office specialist, Pittsburgh, P.A.
- Northwest Regional Director: Curt Arthur, SIOR, office specialist, Salem, O.R.
- Southeast Regional Director: Bradley Pope, SIOR, industrial specialist, Atlanta, G.A.
- Southwest Regional Director: Neil Dailey, SIOR, office specialist, Tulsa, O.K.
