Mr. Burger earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a business background from Eastern Michigan University in 1988. Prior to and since his graduation, he has worked as an Industrial Real Estate Broker specializing in sales and leasing of industrial properties located primarily in the Southern Wayne County Region of the Metropolitan Detroit market area.

In 1996, at the age of 30, Mr. Burger became an individual member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), one of the youngest members ever to complete the requirements for membership in this prestigious organization. In 1997, he became an owner and equal shareholder of the firm his father, Edward R. Burger, first founded in 1980. In 2013, Mr. Burger was elected President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burger & Company, positions he still holds.

In June of 2024, to enhance his commitment to growth, excellence and quality service to customers and clients, Mr. Burger created Burger & Company of Southwest Florida. With offices in Naples, Florida, this venture is a commercial and investment real estate brokerage firm that now expands its influence on a national basis.
