He returned to Colliers International as Executive Vice President in January 2010 and specializes in commercial and industrial brokerage and investment properties.

BUSINESS BACKGROUND

Scott spent the first 22 years of his commercial real estate career at Colliers International where he was a principal of the firm as well as one of the top producing brokers, being ranked within the top ten producers every year from 1987 to 2002.

In 2003, Scott joined CB Richard Ellis where he led a highly successful investment sales team until 2010 when he returned to Colliers.

Scott has extensive experience in investment sales, development, financing, tenant representation, leasing and consultative brokerage assignments. He is a skilled negotiator and adept at optimizing the Colliers full service platform to deliver value through flexible, quick, and effective disposition strategies. NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS

Some of Heaton’s notable transactions include: the leased investment sale of the 272,000 square foot former Ralph’s Distribution Center in Downtown Los Angeles, the investment sale of the 600,000 square foot former FEDCO Distribution Center in Santa Fe Springs, California, the disposition and subsequent industrial redevelopment of the 26-acre former Alcoa site in Vernon, California, the disposition and subsequent retail redevelopment of the 50-acre former Northrop Grumman property in Pico Rivera, California, and the rehabilitation and industrial redevelopment of the 374,000-square-foot former Bullock’s Distribution Center on 22 acres in the City of Industry, California. Additionally, Heaton handled the high-profile sale of the 32 acre former Lever Brothers plant situated along the Santa Ana Freeway in the City of Commerce, California.

Scott is a former director of Goodwill of Southern California, now serving on its Board of Advisors.
