Marlene is a commercial real estate expert specializing in representing corporate end-users, both tenants and owner-occupants. She focuses her practice on life science and technology companies of all sizes as well as medical offices, law firms and other corporate occupiers of lab, office, industrial and flex facilities.

Her unique background as an attorney with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, coupled with her Society of Industrial And Office Realtors (SIOR) and Certified Commercial Investment Management (CCIM) certifications and over 25 years of commercial real estate transactional experience, brings a strong knowledge base to her clients.

Marlene’s approach is to have a thorough understanding of the client's business in order to effectively advise a client on space use. This analysis enables clients to maximize space efficiency while enhancing their corporate culture and minimizing the risk and expense of their real estate.

Marlene is a Vice President of the Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham office. Marlene entered the commercial real estate field in 1997. Prior to 1997, Marlene was a member of the legal staff of Duke University where she was Assistant University Counsel for Health Affairs. She was a litigation attorney with Leboeuf, Lamb, Leiby and MacRae in the firm’s Raleigh, NC office. She also practiced law in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia before locating to North Carolina in 1986. Marlene is a native of Pittsburgh and currently resides in Durham, N.C.
