It has been a very fulfilling year as your SIOR Foundation President! As I reflect on my time in this role, I remain truly humbled to be a part of this great organization. The Foundation continues to grow and adapt to the ever-changing challenges of today’s commercial real estate climate. As we have diligently worked to continue strengthening our partnership with SIOR, we are greatly encouraged to see the changes and growth of SIOR Global. Together, I know that the future of CRE and your favorite association will only get bigger and better!
I am excited to turn over the helm to next year’s President Barb Johnson, SIOR. Barb has been an invaluable source of support to me as President-elect and I know that I am leaving the SIOR Foundation in very capable hands. Please join me in congratulating Barb as she begins her well-deserved term.
The SIOR Foundation has some exciting plans for the SIOR Fall Event in Chicago. This year’s “Star” Reception and Wine Tasting will be an event you do not want to miss! To celebrate our $1000+ donors, we will be offering a sampling of wines selected and provided by your very own SIOR experts. The event will be held at the CW office building on Wacker Street and once again sponsored by Sperry CGA — Arriaga Group, the great San Antonio team of Adrian A. Arriaga Sr. and Adrian Arriaga Jr.
Donating to the SIOR Foundation is a great way to give back to the organization and industry that has given so much to each of us. Help us to educate and support the next generation of real estate professionals. You can start by donating to our giveaway at the SIOR Fall Event. This year’s prize will be an all-expense paid trip to SIOR’s International Conference in Berlin, July 17-19, 2024! Make sure to get your tickets at the SIOR Foundation table. As an incentive, if you donate $1000 or more, you will receive a ticket to the wine tasting in Chicago, as well as our reception in Los Angeles in October of 2024. Look for more information on how to get your tickets for the drawing in the coming weeks.
I am very pleased to announce that this year the SIOR Foundation has provided $135,000 in funding to local SIOR Chapters. This support helped chapters with their educational programs, scholarship assistance, regional conferences, and the Student Real Estate Experience Program.
