SIOR’s Spring 2023 Event in Montreal this past April was an extraordinary experience! Being surrounded by hundreds of leading Commercial Real Estate professionals from around the globe was not only sensational, but provided me with fresh perspectives on the constantly fluctuating industry. It’s amazing how much we all can continue to learn from our fellow SIOR colleagues and industry thought-leaders.

Thank you so much to all who attended, including our valued sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers, as well as the phenomenal team at SIOR HQ for their continued dedication to these events. I’m already looking forward to SIOR’s Fall 2023 Event in Chicago—It’s going to be a good day!

At the Spring Event, we were proud to officially elect officers for the SIOR Board of Directors and incoming Regional Directors, including the youngest female VP in our history, Saadia Sheikh, something I’m incredibly honored to see.  Get to know Saadia—her real estate experience and exceptional service to her clients and SIOR is so impressive! My own experience in this leadership position has been one to remember, and I look forward to seeing the new board lead the organization with integrity and dedication to even greater heights.

If I learned anything from the Spring Event in Montreal, it’s that this industry is constantly in motion. As an organization, SIOR is always moving forward, matching pace with the ever-expanding technological advances that we hear about every single day. In order to evolve, embracing digital media will be an important task. From ChatGPT to the “metaverse,” SIORs are keeping up with the trends. This issue covers all those and more; I hope you find it as insightful as I did.
