It was wonderful to be able to see so many of my esteemed colleagues and good friends in Montreal at SIOR’s Spring 2023 Event. By all measures, it was a great experience.

On behalf of the SIOR Foundation Board of Trustees, THANK YOU! This year’s Great Escape Giveaway was a great success! With your support, the Foundation netted nearly $28,000 to support its programs and initiatives. Congratulations to our winner, J. Peter Whatmore, SIOR, CBRE Limited, London, Ontario. He will receive a $5,000 travel voucher to design the trip of a lifetime with the help of Angie Ohmes at Golden Cruise and Travel.

Your SIOR Foundation is always striving to make an impact on the commercial real estate industry through Educating the future of the industry, Enhancing the experience of current industry leaders, and by Expanding the knowledge of all those involved in this amazing community.  Late last year, the Foundation became a Founding Partner of Career Opportunities in Real Estate (CORE), an online scholarship credentialing program consisting of eight modules of commercial real estate career content, as well as professional development resources, soft skills training, and access to life coaching.

Some of the other great programs we are supporting this summer include the Real Estate Executive Council’s Real Estate Exchange (REEX) Summer Program, exposing diverse students to top universities and career opportunities in Commercial Real Estate, the 3rd Annual CREi Summit, where industry leaders share their secrets on how they build their digital relationships, social media following, information on how to create a stronger personal brand, and close more deals, as well as the SIOR Great Lakes and Southeastern Regional Conferences.
