I’m still feeling the buzz from the experience that was SIOR’s Fall 2024 Event in Hollywood—what an incredible time! With nearly 1,000 attendees, it was a legendary week of learning, networking, and celebrating everything that makes SIOR and this industry so special. A huge thank you to our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and the stellar HQ team for pulling off yet another unforgettable event!

I want to express my thanks to David Lockwood, SIOR, for his leadership over the past year. He was an incredible president and his dedication and love for SIOR Global shone through as he met with chapters and members around the globe. He is an inspiration, and I’m honored to follow David and our other past presidents who have created the 83 year foundation that we continue to build on today. I also need to recognize the tremendous leadership of Robert Thornburgh, SIOR, who has served as CEO for the past four years with passion, vision, and unwavering dedication. His contributions have left an indelible mark on our organization, and his influence will undoubtedly continue to propel us forward as we enter the next chapter for SIOR. Building on this momentum, I am committed to leading us to remain well-positioned as industry leaders for the next century.

I’m excited to announce that we are now 4,000 members strong while raising the bar higher than ever for earning the SIOR designation. It’s a true testament to the quality and dedication of our members and a recognition from our industry partners that SIOR Global is where people go to get things done! I’m so proud to be part of this ever-evolving, dynamic organization.

Finally, SIOR Global is committed to being thought leaders for our industry. In this issue of the SIOR Report, you’ll find some fantastic articles exploring the importance of sustainability, understanding how regulations impact CRE, the global supply chain, and more. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did. I want to thank the SIOR Foundation as our Global Education Partner and the support they provide to this publication to help bring you this content.

As we wrap up 2024, I’m looking forward to the journey ahead. Together, we’re going to continue making waves in the industry, building stronger connections and relationships, and embracing all the new opportunities coming our way.
