Tom McCormick, SIOR, FRICS, an industrial specialist based out of Irvine, California, has had a long-spanning career in commercial real estate, serving most recently as CEO of SIOR. He also previously served as Senior Vice President – National Accounts for Rockefeller Group International, a leading real estate developer, owner, and investor. In this role, McCormick’s responsibilities included development of new opportunities for industrial and office real estate business. McCormick began his real estate career in 1981 with Coldwell Banker Commercial before joining what would become Colliers Macaulay Nicolls, a privately held Canadian-based commercial brokerage company with 85 offices around the world. He served for three years as President of the firm before joining Panattoni as their Chief Operating Officer.

Since earning his SIOR designation in 1985, McCormick has held numerous leadership roles within the organization, having served as SIOR Global President, as well as President of the SIOR Foundation (SIORF) and his local chapter. McCormick has also served as SIOR’s Operations Director on the Board of Directors.

Tom began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1981. In 1982 Tom and five other CB brokers left to start Cahill Commercial Brokerage which was purchased by Iliff, Thorn & Company. Iliff, Thorn was purchased in 1995 by Colliers Macaulay Nichols. After three years as President of Colliers Macaulay Nichols, a privately held Canadian-based commercial brokerage firm with 85 offices around the world, Tom left to become COO of Panattoni, which is one of the largest industrial developers in the United States.

As a member of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR), Tom served as the National President of SIOR in 1998 and in 2010 was presented the Howell Watson Distinguished Service Award. He is also actively involved in the Society’s Foundation (SIORF), having served as its President in 1999 and 2000. He served as Chairman of the REALTOR Commercial Alliance Advisory Board (RCA) in 2002. He also was a member of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS and was the Association’s National Achievement Award winner nine times from 1992 to 2002. He was a member of the Jesuit High School (Carmichael, CA) Board of Trustees from 1995 - 2004. In 2010 Tom was awarded the FRICS designation.
