Karl is widely recognized as one of the leading commercial real estate professionals in northeast Indiana, with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. Since entering the industry in 1991—and dedicating his expertise to northeast Indiana since 1993—Karl has completed over 1,500 transactions totaling more than $500 million in volume and encompassing over 20 million square feet of commercial space.

He is a founding partner and the principal broker of BND Commercial, where he has consistently been a top producer. Prior to co-founding BND, Karl served as Executive Vice President at a competing real estate firm in northeast Indiana, where he also ranked among the top producers. He began his career in Indianapolis with FC Tucker (now Cushman & Wakefield), laying the foundation for a long-standing commitment to professionalism and results.

Karl holds two of the most prestigious designations in the commercial real estate industry: the SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors), where he is a past president of the Indiana/Kentucky Chapter, and the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), for which he currently serves on the board of directors of the Indiana Chapter. These honors reflect his advanced expertise in market evaluation, investment analysis, and strategic marketing.

A graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Karl earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and accounting.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Karl is a dedicated community leader. His service includes leadership roles with organizations such as the Jorgenson YMCA (former board president), Heartland Sings, Youth for Christ, the Fort Wayne Golf Association, and The Chapel, where he volunteers regularly. He has also led youth mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. His real estate expertise has supported several local nonprofits, including the YMCA, MLK Montessori School, Lifeline Youth Ministries, and the Allen County Local Education Foundation.

Karl's excellence has been consistently recognized over the years. He is a multiple-time recipient of both the CoStar Power Broker Award and the CCIM Transaction Award. He has been named a Future 40 honoree by both Fort Wayne Business Weekly and Upstate Indiana. In 2012, his firm BND Commercial was honored as the Greater Fort Wayne Small Business of the Year, and in 2017, Karl was named CEO of the Year by Business Weekly.

Prior to BND, he was Executive Vice President of a competing northeast Indiana real estate company, where he was the top producer in 1999 & 2002. He began his career at Cassidy Turley in Indianapolis.

Karl is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), which is the highest designation to be awarded to an industrial or office commercial realtor. He has also received his professional designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). This designation is awarded to those who complete graduate curriculum that focuses on marketing, marketing evaluation and investment analysis.
