Kathy Woodward, SIOR, has an impressive career spanning over 30 years. SR: What’s something that recently made you smile?
KW: Watching Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift at her concert in Singapore. You know, being from Kansas City.
SR: Which fictional character do you associate with most, and why?
KW: Tinker Bell, because she flew around fixing things for others!
SR: What motivated you to become a dedicated supporter for numerous impactful causes?
KW: Growing up in a household where my mother was a professional volunteer and advocate for those less fortunate, it encouraged me to want to help make the world a better place too.
SR: What is one of your pet peeves?
KW: People that serve on community boards for the letterhead.
SR: If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
KW: When you have the talent to be great at something, work hard to achieve it.
SR: What fictional place would you like to visit?
KW: Neverland.
SR: What book/show are you currently reading/watching? Would you recommend it?
KW: Montana Sky by Nora Roberts. It is a great thriller— Would definitely recommend it. Also watching Suits, which I know has been out forever but just started it and really enjoy it.
SR: What problem or situation did TV/movies make you think would be common, but when you grew up you found out it wasn’t?
KW: That all moms stayed home and took care of the kids. Dads just went to work.
SR: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
KW: Do not make promises or threats you will not keep. Best advice when raising our kids.
SR: What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?
KW: Run my last half marathon.
SR: What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
KW: Sitting on the deck at our lake house just looking at the water. It is my happy place.
