BOMA Standard Method of Measurement for Industrial Buildings

SIOR and BOMA have been developing standards of measurements for industrial and flex buildings and their associated structures since 2001. Updated to replace the 2012 standards, the 2019 Industrial Standard features a method of measurement for various spaces such as Building Service Area, Floor Service Area, and Inter-Building Area, and may be applied to single tenant, multi-tenant or multi-building configurations. The DesignFlex2030 initiative is a joint research venture of SIOR, the SIOR Foundation, and the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) focusing on increasing corporate real estate facility flexibility.
