Alan Fischer has lived and worked in Fairfield and New Haven Counties his entire life. A licensed real estate practitioner in Connecticut since 1974, he founded Fischer Real Estate in 1976 and has served as its President since that time. FRE specializes in commercial, industrial and investment properties throughout Connecticut, with a primary focus on Fairfield and New Haven Counties, helping sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants make informed decisions on selling, buying or leasing their real estate.

In addition to his CCIM and SIOR designations, Alan is a member of the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of Metropolitan New York (IOREBA), the Real Estate Advisory Board of the Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC), a past President of the Connecticut Chapter of the CCIM Institute, a former member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the former President of the Orange Economic Development Corporation and Chairman of its Executive Committee.

Alan is a former Vice-Chairman of the Stratford Board of Education, which he served for seven years and a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Bridgeport, which he served for ten years. Currently he serves as President of the Orange Economic Development Corporation and is Chairman of its Executive Committee.

Alan has lived and worked in Fairfield and New Haven Counties his entire life. While at the University of Bridgeport, he was a three-year starter on the Purple Knights basketball team, serving as team Captain his senior year. After graduation, he remained at UB as a graduate assistant in pursuit of his Masters Degree. During that time he served as an assistant basketball coach and head coach of UB’s track and field team. Nowadays he enjoys playing tennis, bike riding and roller skating.

Alan lives in Madison with his wife Gabriele and their two children, Damon and Lyla.
